Cut Paper Island is the creation of Robin Nagle, a graduate of Kansas City Art Institute and a Year-round resident of Martha’s Vineyard for more than 20 years.

Her flour sack towels are a perfect showcase for Cut Paper Island’s designs, which first come to life as pencil sketches. Then, using an X-Acto knife, Robin crafts a more minimal design. Slowly and deliberately, paper from a thoughtfully selected palette is cut into specific shapes and placed together to create the finished product. Each image is inspired by Robin’s love of animals and a bit of humor.

When not surrounded by art in her gallery or her studio, Robin can often be found out sailing, enjoying the beach, or on one of Marthas Vineyard’s many walking trails with her husband, son, and their dog Hadley.
